I
haven't posted a new blog because I needed a break to think about
things and to relax and not stress out. I had an absolute blast this
weekend when I went to the Chandler Alumni Parade! I saw three of my
friends I knew growing up.
I
have an apartment to finish straightening up
since I'm going to be
inviting people over this weekend. Friday the plans are to go grocery
shopping, fix food for a picnic, and take one or two of my cousins and
a friend of theirs on a picnic then I'm taking them out to a movie. I
feel lucky that the kids here in Wellston consider me "cool enough" to
hang out with.
I
have a newsletter to update.
I've been messing around with my web
programs to get the right look then I will be updating the website on
the web host I use. Right now I'm not messing with it yet. I
downloaded some programs to use for my organization. Some are for
creating games, newsletters, digital photography and other things. But
the plan is to have the newsletter updated for TBI Raiders by or
sometime on Saturday. So I've got plenty to do today. Which I hear my
laundry calling me name to go do it...lol.![]()
Got things to do
It's been a good day overall
Overall, I like how today has gone. I got a new couch which had been one of my younger cousins that she had when she was living in Stillwater. And it's nice, my little cousin has good taste in things. Next month there is my 16th recital and then I'll have a wedding to attend. I sent in my rsvp already. Nothing against going with my family but I want to go with a date to the wedding. I don't know how exactly appropriate it is to ask a guy on a date or to a wedding to be exact. I'm old fashion, aka the man asks the lady out. I don't even have any guys in mind. I was wanting to ask a man and go on some dates with him before the wedding so we could get to know each other. But other than that, the only thing I need to do is get my ballet costume adjusted which one of my mom's friends is going to be doing it. I need help in the dating department!!!
The 2008 Presidential race is getting out of hand
- If we leave the middle east without fixing the whole terrorism situation and leave the terrorists up to no good exactly how many times can we fear another 9/11 happening?
- We have another 9/11 and a democrat is president, I want THEM to look into the Americans who will become disabled as a result and EXPLAIN to them why THEY DID NOTHING TO PREVENT IT!
- Why the hell the democratic party considers listening to some pathetic website and an anti-American organization MORE IMPORTANT than LISTENING TO THE LITTLE PEOPLE!!!
- Why are the Hollywood/celebrities more important than the average hard working AMERICANS?
- Why do they care about getting illegals more rights and getting them citizenship when the DISABILITY community is the LARGEST minority group and MOST IGNORED Americans when it comes to helping!
I could go on because I'm extremely p.o.ed that the democratic party at the national level is acting like a bunch of 5 yr olds...sorry to all the 5 year olds I just insulted. To the democratic presidential candidates this is just a popularity race and they are more worried about basing it on race or gender. The Universal Health care is a JOKE and LEAVES AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES OUT IN THE BLOOMING COLD! I have watched the video that John McCain has on what he plans on doing for health care. He has a really good plan. And I'm NOT repeat NOT just saying that because A) I think he's cool B) is a veteran and C) That's who I'm voting for in November. I will take representing Oklahoma youth with disabilities before my ego takes over when it comes down to what is important to me. When it comes to the issue of health care he looks at the whole picture and has some wonderful ideas and REFRESHING ideas. Some people who are ranting to vote for Clinton and Obama are acting like they don't even have brains. Clinton and Obama very much look like a bunch of puppets for the democrat party.
Super Happy
I'm
just enjoying life a whole bunch right now. Biggest kick that I'm
getting out of it is the fact that ten years ago I should have died
from a left/right Traumatic Brain Injury and have made close to a full
recovery & I am doing so much stuff!!! This week I'm going to
Luther Middle School first to go talk and work with the leadership
class. They are always fun to go talk to. I get a kick out of going
to that class, they've really helped with TBI Raiders, and I get to
visit/spend some time with a childhood friend who is the teacher. Then
about a hour later I will be going to speak to the sophomores, juniors,
and seniors at the high school about TBI Raiders. I know one of my
pals that I grew up with in school has some cousins in the high
school...which I need to get a hold of Lester now that I think of it.
I've been getting plans together of what exactly I will be doing and
saying. Which I need to call to see if I can get a booth in the
cafeteria most of the first week of May so I can sit and visit with the
students about TBI Raiders.
But the day before that I
will go to the dance studio. Last week one of the students asked why I
get to the dance studio so early. The first class doesn't start until
4pm and I usually get there at 2pm. I do for the simple fact I like to
work on my solo so I can perfect it. And those of you who grew up with
me, you now I want perfection when it comes to my dancing. Then I also
use the extra time to work out and do stretches to help my left side
which has partial paralysis in it.
Then two days after that my
cousin Whitney is graduating from OSU! I'm so proud of her. She's
become quite the young lady and I know she will be doing amazing things
with her life!!! I'm happy for my baby brother because he's going to
get to move into an apartment at OSU. And if I get to yacky any more
about those I know that are Whitney and Bryce's age, I'm going to feel
older than I am. And I just want to enjoy being 27! But my brother
and cousin will be successful with whatever they do because A) they are
Dankers and B) they are stubborn. Well I need to go do some
housework. And I'm excited that my apartment has looked descent for
over a week. Usually it looks like what you'd find in a single guy's
apartment aka a mess...lol.
Very Pleasant Day
Furthermore I am getting even more pumped for the events going on in May that are for TBI Raiders. I'm going to need to find a CPA to do the papers for TBI Raiders to become a non-profit. But the organization is going to need to raise $500.00 to get the papers filed. I'm going to be speaking to the sophomores, juniors, and seniors about the organization. Then the next week we will have the first official meeting. Then May 1st - May 16th the organization will be having a membership/donation drive. Part of the money will be used to hold a pizza party for the members and their family at the end of the school year. We're also going to discuss having a community donation drive when I go to Luther. Then towards the end of summer will be a summer training camp for members and potential members.
